Francesco is above amazing!!!! If I could give him more then 5 stars I would gladly do it!
My contractor who was supposed to do some work for me in my back yard blew me off more times then a cheap hooker. Francesco is the most amazing plumber I have used while living here in SF since 2000. He’s consistently punctual, is a great problem solver, he’s smart, uses his head and and gets the job done. All for a very reasonable price.
I had a drainage problem in my yard (vines got into the drainage pipes and backed up the system). He came to the house and discussed the options (I was throwing him some curve balls that he figured out but none of the other plumbers I had called on could come up with a solution I’d be happy with) understood what needed to be done and then came back and fixed the problem. He did exactly what he said he would do and in a timely manner.
I can now put my backyard back together again after months of it looking like a disaster area because none of the other plumbers seemed to know what they were talking about when I queried them about possible solutions.
I’ll be using Francesco as my only plumber now that I feel like I’ve found “the one and only”.

Just purchased our first home and really needed to upgrade the gas lines to install a couple of appliances and add a seismic auto shutoff on the meter. After getting estimates from 4 different plumbers, no one came close to Francesco. Not just in price but also in quality of the work and timeliness. Francesco was prompt, courteous and helped us understand what needed to be done to prepare for the new appliances and any future additions. We recently moved to our first home, a cottage built in 1911. In order to fit a washer/dryer into our house, we had to tackle the expense and task of installing a tank-less water heater. The home also needed all new hook ups for a washer and dryer.
Francesco was quick to respond to our request for an estimate. He didn’t flinch at the task to work on a quirky space. He gave us a very reasonable estimate. He handled all of the permits. Fit us in to get us up and running for an approaching move in date. He was flexible in coordinating with PG&E and our electrician. He discovered a slight leak on the PG&E side of the meter, pulled dangerous pipes running to a gas fireplace (not part of the original job), and ran new pipes for our dyer from the meter. He also worked a very long day at our home to get a very tricky dyer vent hooked up (it was a serious pain and he hustled working overtime to get it accomplished).
At the end of it all, we got an approved inspection by the city on the first go. Couldn’t ask for anything more!
Francesco is also just a nice guy to coordinate with. He has incredible work ethic which we really appreciate.

We hired Toce Plumbing to install a complex washer/dryer hook-up for our new house. He was very responsive and came out to do an inspection ASAP. He emailed us an informative estimate within a couple days, (which is something we didn’t find customary amongst other local plumbers). We hired Francesco to do the job and were very impressed with his level of craftsmanship and care to every detail of the job. His availability was also great and he was able to complete the job within a week. He even came back a few days later to professionally install our washer/dryer system to ensure everything was working. We feel very confident that the job was done well. My family and I are so grateful for Francesco! We had a terrible gas leak under the house. PG&E shut down all service, leaving us without hot water or a stove. The emergency repairs required replacing all the gas plumbing before PG&E would restore our service. Francesco came to the rescue. It was not an easy job because the house has very little crawlspace. He worked tirelessly under the house for days. He also took care of all the permits with the City and scheduled the inspections. We had guests staying in our apartment. And predictably the toilet clogged on a Sunday. Francisco answered the call for a last minute plumbing crisis.
First off, he surpassed my very low expectations for a plumber. Which merits a five star review alone, given the state of the market. His quote was totally reasonable. I knew I wasn’t being gouged. And he showed up right on time.
He’s a consummate professional. He communicates and explains the problem to you as he works, so nothing is clouded in mystery. (No pun intended. Really.)
But he went above and beyond. Not only did he unclog the toilet, but he informed me about a number of issues that were preventing my pipes from working optimally. He did not attempt to upsell me on the fix and I learned a lot about how to get things working correctly. So while you may not be able to afford the Cadillac renovation, he knows you still need working plumbing and makes it happen.

We called maybe 25 plumbers, and Francesco not only returned our call (he was the only one who did), but arrived promptly and completed the job efficiently.
